How the Ecosystem Works
The Foundation (Sensors): Sensors measure occupancy, air quality, light, temperature, humidity, electricity, water, gas and the status of safety systems.
The Brain (Network and Platform): Sensors send data through LoRaWAN, NB-IoT, EnOcean, Bluetooth or the IP500 standard to the INOWISE.IO platform. A Digital Twin shows every signal on a live map of your building.
The Outcome (Rules and Alerts): The Rule Engine turns data into action. If a room is empty for 15 minutes, heating turns down. If air quality drops, the facility team gets an alert. If water use jumps, a possible leak is reported at once.

Energy, water and air quality
Smart meters show consumption in real time, by building or department. Unusual values are flagged early. Air quality sensors track CO2, ventilation and particles, so people work in a healthy room. This also supports sustainability and ESG reporting.
Smart fire protection

Which radio standard fits?
LoRaWAN: Range up to 10 km, penetrates thick walls. Battery life 5 to 10 years. Ideal for large buildings and retrofits.
NB-IoT (LTE-M): Cellular network, no own gateway needed. Battery life 3 to 7 years. Ideal for remote sites, branches and underground garages.
EnOcean: Indoor rooms (energy harvesting). Batteryless. Ideal for offices, schools and public buildings.
Edge AI and Digital Twin
Edge AI analyses data on the sensor and sends only the result. This needs less bandwidth, works offline and keeps raw data on site. Radar knows if a room is empty without a camera. In one case, gas sensors in an electrical cabinet found an overheating cable 18 minutes before there was any smoke. The Digital Twin shows what is wrong, where it is and what to do.
Real project example
Together with IP500 (https://ip500.org/), radar and temperature sensors were connected to INOWISE.IO in an office building. One key test case is a university with ten buildings and about 5,000 rooms. The platform detects sensor faults at once, manages firmware and certificates, and creates monthly reports.
