How is INOWISE.IO built?
INOWISE.IO has four layers. Sensors measure. Networks and gateways transmit. The cloud platform stores and analyses the data. Dashboards, the Digital Twin and alerts turn it into action.
Sense → Connect → Analyze → Act
Which sensors and devices can you connect?
- Occupancy, air quality, temperature and humidity sensors
- Vibration, acoustic and noise sensors
- Electricity, water and gas meters
- Structural sensors for bridges (stress, tilt, deformation, rainfall)
- Fire protection sensors (extinguishers, fire doors, smoke detectors)
- AI cameras for image recognition
- Bluetooth beacons and GPS trackers
Which protocols does INOWISE.IO support?
- LoRaWAN: long range, very low power, battery life of 5 to 10 years
- NB-IoT: cellular network, no own gateway needed, battery life of 3 to 7 years
- EnOcean: batteryless sensors for indoor use
- Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE): indoor tracking with beacons
- IP500: wireless standard for buildings
- MQTT: open messaging protocol for devices and systems
How does Edge AI work in INOWISE.IO?
Edge AI runs directly on the sensor or on the gateway. It analyses raw data locally, such as vibration, sound or camera images, and sends only the result to the platform. This means fast alerts, less bandwidth, work without a permanent internet connection and raw data that stays on site.
Edge AI devices include vibration sensors, noise sensors, radar sensors, AI cameras and edge gateways.
Where does the data go?
Edge gateways send data securely to the cloud. The platform stores it, shows it live and keeps the history for trend analysis. Cloud hosting is in the EU and follows GDPR.
Cloud or on-premise?
Most projects run in the cloud. On-premise deployment is also possible, depending on the customer. The platform uses a scalable, Docker-based architecture. It grows from a single building or bridge to a whole network of sites.
How does INOWISE.IO connect to other systems?
INOWISE.IO has a REST API. Use it to send data to the systems you already have, such as ERP, building management (BMS) or maintenance software. Devices and systems can also connect through MQTT.
What does the platform show?
- Real-time customizable dashboards
- 2D and 3D Digital Twin maps
- GPS and asset tracking
- Rules and automatic alerts
- Predictive maintenance with historical trends
How is INOWISE.IO secured?
- Role-based access control: every user only sees what they are allowed to see
- Secure data transfer from gateways to the cloud
- Device firmware and certificate management
- Cloud hosting in the EU under GDPR
